Our Self Worth
“It’s important to note that the most sensitive, self-reflective souls among us—those of us with the highest vision, ideals, and standards…
—often have the lowest sense of self-worth, because we constantly fail to meet our idealized standards.”
Dan Millman

This is so true. Millman described me plain and simple. I have fought with depression and low self esteem for many years and it always seems that no “achievement” is ever enough to once and for all end it. I manage it like I manage my diabetes. Day to day the war with “my enemy” goes on. I take territory from my enemy and occasionally I retreat or inadvertently cede hard won territory back in a bogus peace treaty. Every day I learn another lesson in self acceptance, awareness, and being fully engaged in the present.
